Les Paul or Stratocaster for a beginner?
Right now I play a Glen Burton Acoustic Guitar, but i have been interested in purchasing my first Electric Guitar. My guitar teacher recommended a strat, but I love the Les Paul look.... I also have a low price range... so please help me choose A GOOD first electric guitar.
I would recommend a Stratocaster as well.
If money is tight, buy a Fender Squire Strat - cheaply made but ideal for a beginner.
But if you can afford it, look into a Fender Standard model Stratocaster.
I love Gibson Les Paul's too but it can be hard to find a cheap one.
Review of the Gillian Welch CD Revival by Clyde Lee Dennis
Revival is the latest Rock CD put out by the very talented Gillian Welch who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Gillian Welch fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one.
Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
One of the nicer things about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Rock isn’t your favorite genre you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.
If you're even mildly into Rock music you'll enjoy this CD. Overall Revival is an a great release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with one single track.
While the entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 3 - Pass You By, track 8 - Tear My Stillhouse Down, and track 10 - Only One And Only
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Orphan Girl. Outstanding!
